Civil Cases

The Clerk of Courts holds the records for Superior and State court, with civil records including divorces, civil suits, garnishments, adoptions, temporary protective and stalking orders, name changes, custody, child support and modification cases.  We also record trade name registrations, partnerships, lis pendens, and military discharge records (DD214).

E-Filing in Georgia Courts

All Georgia state and superior courts operate with mandatory civil e-filing for attorneys. The General Assembly passed SB 407 in March 2018, which created a basic statutory framework for mandatory civil e-Filing. Under the new law (O.C.G.A. §§ 15-6-11 and §§ 15-7-5), all new civil actions filed by an attorney in state or superior court must be initiated electronically.

Our court system uses PeachCourt for our efiling.
