Volunteer

The Barrow County Animal Shelter is always looking for caring individuals who are interested in the well-being of the animals in our community. Whether you'd like to come by every day or swing by for half an hour each week, any help is appreciated! Volunteers will get to spend time with animals at the facility, helping them get valuable exercise and socialization, prepping them to find their fur-ever homes.

Please note: While we welcome volunteers of all ages, any volunteers under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult.

Getting Started

Barrow County utilized GivePulse to manage all volunteer activities, including (if needed) the recording of volunteer hours, scheduling of events and more. Volunteers will need to register an account to get started.

Forms

Volunteers are required to fill out a program agreement and liability waiver. While copies are available at the Barrow County Animal Shelter, volunteers can speed up the application process by bringing signed copies with them or emailing them to KPoe@BarrowGA.org.
