Burn Ban

PLEASE NOTE: Burn Permits are not issued in advance and are valid for the current day only! Burn Permits are issued (if available) after 8 a.m. If burning takes more than 1 day, please re-apply for a permit on the following day.

No burn permits will be issued between May 1 - Sept. 30 due to the statewide burn ban.

Burn permits are only valid inside unincorporated Barrow County, and the Cities of Auburn, Statham, Bethlehem, Carl and Braselton.

In order to obtain a burn permit in the City of Winder, please contact the Winder Fire Marshal's Office at 770-867-3212.
