Senior Citizen's Center
The Senior Citizens Center provides activities & programs for county resident senior citizens including daily lunch, exercise classes, bingo, guest speakers & various seminars, arts & crafts, clubs, day outings & overnight trips, etc. The center has an outdoor pickleball court, computer lab, pool hall, a living room, a dining room where lunch is served daily, a multi-use room featuring card tables, an exercise area & space for crafts and an outdoor patio. The Senior Center’s operating hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Senior Center staff members also deliver meals to homebound county resident senior citizens on weekdays through the Home Delivered Meals program.
The Senior Center partners with the Northeast Georgia Area Agency on Aging to refer senior county residents to available programs and resources provided by the AAA and other agencies.
Mission
To meet the needs of our elderly in the community by promoting the physical, emotional and economic well-being of older adults and promoting their participation in all aspects of their community life, so that they can remain productive, self-sufficient, and lead useful and dignified lives.
Goal
To give all members a sense of belonging, to provide them with programs and activities that contribute to well-being, and to encourage them to stay active and healthy.
Registration and Membership Information
The Barrow County Senior Center welcomes participation from local citizens age 60 or over. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Activities and lunch are provided daily. Membership dues are $20 annually and lunch is served for a $1 cost share donation. Please see our monthly calendar in the list to the left on this page for scheduled events and activities. There you can also find the daily lunch menu.

We do provide transportation services to eligible clients to and from the Center for activities and lunch.
Home Delivered Meals Program
Senior Center staff members deliver meals to homebound county resident senior citizens on weekdays through the Home Delivered Meals program.
