A swearing-in ceremony is planned for Dec. 12 for newly elected and re-elected officials serving Barrow County Government.
The ceremony, which will be held at 10 a.m. in Courtroom 1 of the Barrow County Judicial Courthouse, will include remarks from Probate Judge Tammy Brown, who will be administering the oath of office for the following officials, in order:
- District Attorney J. Bradley Smith
- Clerk of Superior Court Janie Jones
- Sheriff Jud Smith
- Tax Commissioner Jessica Garrett
- Coroner Kenneth Cooper
- Chief Magistrate Judge Caroline Power Evans
- County Commission Chairman Pat Graham
- County Commissioners (oath administered together)
- District 1 Joe Goodman
- District 2 Kenny Shook, III
- District 3 Rolando Alvarez
- Probate Judge Amy Kennedy Whitlock (oath administered by Judge Currie Mingledorff)
