Barrow County’s administrative offices, courts, senior center and animal shelter will be closed Thursday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.
The Barrow County Senior Center will also be closed Friday, July 5, though meals will still be provided to clients both days.
Buildings and athletic fields will be closed at Victor Lord Park on July 4, though the park itself will remain open during the holiday. Batting cages, tennis and pickleball courts will be available.
Barrow County Water offices will be closed on July 4, but essential staff will remain on duty. Citizens reporting a water emergency may do so by calling (770) 307-3014 to be connected with appropriate on-call staff.
Essential public safety personnel will also remain on duty during the holiday. Unless otherwise noted, normal operations and hours will resume Friday, July 5.
