Barrow County Public Works Director Chris Yancey was recently named to the Upper Oconee Regional Water Planning Council by Gov. Brian Kemp.
Yancey brings more than 40 years of experience to the role, along with Class 1 Georgia licenses in water and wastewater treatment and graduate certifications in Public Works Management from the University of Georgia.
In his current role in Barrow County, Yancey’s responsibilities include long-term strategic planning, financial projections for projects and capital improvements, and management of operations within the Public Works Department.
