On Wednesday May 22, 2024, the Home Depot of Winder store #6979 Management Team of Brent Norwood, Michael Emeneker, and Kate Epps delivered a large donation of residential smoke alarms and batteries to the Barrow County Fire Department’s Community Risk Reduction section.
“We can’t thank the Home Depot Foundation enough for this generous donation to help jumpstart the department’s initiative to ensure there are working smoke alarms in as many Barrow County homes as possible,” said Lt. Shawne Gum, Fire & Life Safety Educator and PIO for BCFD.
Fire Chief Alan Shuman, Deputy County Manager Wes Geddings, the crew at station 3A, along with other fire department personnel were there to accept the donation.
