The outdoor pickleball courts located at Victor Lord Park will close for renovations April 14.
Renovations include the resurfacing of each court, expansion of available courts from six to 12, new signage, new fencing and a new entrance gate.
“We understand that pickleball is a popular and rapidly growing sport not only in Barrow County, but across the country. The work done to the courts will only enhance our ability to offer players of all skill levels and abilities the chance to play,” said Zach Churchill, Barrow County Parks and Recreation Director.
While the work is underway, indoor pickleball courts will still be available inside the Parks and Recreation Building at the park, along with the outdoor court located nearby at the Barrow County Senior Center.
The renovations are expected to be complete in mid-June, weather permitting.
