Barrow County has only one Senior Center. Hours of operation are generally from 8:00am until 4:00pm. Monthly activity calendars highlight major events and programs. Daily programs include exercise, information, nutrition education, health, entertainment and special trips.
Meals are provided through a catering service. Our meals must meet 1/3 of the recommenced daily allowance for persons over the age of (60) sixty. Menus are prepared in advance by a certified dietician and submitted to the state for approval. Barrow County does not, at this time, serve any therapeutic meals. We however can serve modified meals.
The administrative office of the Barrow County Aging Services is located at Annex Building. You may also direct any questions you may have concerning the Senior Center to the Area Agency on Aging.
