Barrow County has seen a significant and continual growth in the last 5 years, which has caused a increase in population, new subdivisions, new roads, road paving and maintenance, bridge repairs and street signs. The additional traffic and construction activities have an impact the aging County road system that has resulted in increasing workload for the department. The Roads and Bridges Department desires to maintain a high level of service to provide safe roads for the citizens.
