Mission Statement
The Planning and Development Department manages short term and long range planning, through the administration of the Unified Development Code and Comprehensive Plan, as well as, other duties assigned to the department with efficiency, integrity and skill so that the citizens of Barrow County may enjoy a physical environment of highest quality in which to live, work and recreate.
