Board of Elections & Registration:

Board Profile: The Board of Elections & Registration is responsible for registering citizens to vote, maintaining voter registration records, conducting all county elections, mailing out absentee ballots, training poll workers, and keeping abreast of all state laws pertaining to elections and voter registrations. In addition, this Board also conducts city elections for Auburn, Bethlehem, Carl, and Winder on a contractual basis whereby each city pays for the cost of their city elections.

Qualification of Members: resident and elector of the county and not an elected public office holder. Members receive $50 per meeting, Chairman receives $60 per meeting.

Meeting Schedule: Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 3:30 p.m. at the Barrow County Annex, 233 E. Broad St. in Winder. Additional meetings may be held as deemed necessary. Contact: Monica Franklin, Elections Supervisor, at 770-307-3510
